|
Chopped strand mats are made of chopped strands of 50mm in length, which are randomly dispersed and bonded together with polyester binder in powder or emulsion form. The mats are co***tible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl Ester and other various resins .
They are mainly used in hand lay-up, filament winding and compression molding processes. The typical FRP products are panels, tanks, boats , complete set of sanitary equipment, automotive part, cooling towers, pipes etc.
Characteristics:
:1. excellent co***tibility with resin, quick wet out property, easily fills mold and conforms to complex shapes.
2. fiber and binder evenly dispersed without defects of fuzz, oil spot, and blots
3.high mechanical strength and high wet strength retention.
